GeoTools — geospatial trade-area analytics on Spectus

Geospatial tooling for trade-area analysis, optimal store location and density heatmaps on the Spectus mobility dataset.

A suite of geospatial analytics tools developed on the Spectus mobility dataset (privacy-safe, anonymized location panel) during my consulting work with fantix.ai. The tools supported trade-area definition, optimal store-location analysis, path analysis, customer lifetime value and POI-level visitation metrics.

Output surfaces included interactive web apps with density heatmaps (for example, around the US Super Bowl) and visit-index views that behave like a Google Trends for physical-world visitation across brands.

The work connected the scientific rigour of spatial statistics (KDE, spatial join, network-distance trade areas) with the operational needs of retail and ad-tech clients who need defensible, reproducible measurements — not just pretty maps.
